Sunita Chaudhary is a leading expert in climate adaptation and sustainable development in the Hindu Kush Himalaya. She leads transdisciplinary research at ICIMOD on socio-ecological resilience, biodiversity, and Indigenous knowledge systems. She spearheads regional assessments like the HKH Springs Outlook and Biodiversity Assessment, advising Nepal’s government on national climate policy and contributing globally through IPBES and other science-policy platforms.
