Edwin Mumbere

Edwin Mumbere is a dedicated climate justice and sustainable development advocate with extensive experience in environmental conservation, renewable energy, and community resilience. He currently serves as the Director of the Centre for Citizens Conserving Environment & Management (CECIC), a Ugandan NGO focused on empowering communities to address climate change, resource governance, and sustainable livelihoods.
Edwin has a proven track record in research, policy advocacy, and program management, having worked on projects related to climate adaptation, agroforestry, renewable energy access, and food security. His work emphasizes amplifying local voices, promoting gender equity, and fostering community-led solutions for sustainable development.
With a deep commitment to building resilient communities, Edwin collaborates with local, national, and international partners to advance climate action, sustainable agriculture, and environmental stewardship across Uganda and beyond.
