MKAAJI MPYA asbl, which means “New Farmer”, is a non-profit organization based in South Kivu, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The organization works in four main areas: sustainable agriculture, the environment, peace and education, and human rights to address the socio-economic and environmental needs of rural populations affected by poverty, hunger, violence (sexual and gender-based violence), recurrent wars and community conflicts, migration and climate change, biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation (terrestrial, foresters).
